This has been one of the longest weeks I’ve had in a very long time. I’m not sure why because I haven’t had anything to do all week, maybe it was the lack of the rush to getting things done that has made my days this week slowly pass by. It has been a pretty slow and boring week. That is until today.
Momma came home from her vacation today and she seems to of had a great time. Thanks Debbie! Mom and Debbie have both had a rough year and they both really needed time away. They both lost someone very dear to their hearts this year due to cancer, Mom lost her precious granddaughter Danielle and Debbie lost her husband Carl. Both Mom and Debbie’s spirits have been down so it was really nice to see both of them smiling and laughing today acting like their old selfs. Shortly after mom came home today though things got a little
crazy and we had a big scare. Preston my 3 year old was happy his granny was home and him and granny went to her room so they could lay down and watch television together. Next thing I know granny is screaming and I hear glass shattering. Well Preston decided to climb up granny’s stand that was holding her television and it all came crashing down on him. I ran to her room and she already had Preston in her arms screaming he’s bleeding. At first I was scared to death that the television had landed on him and because of his cleft I instantly thought god did he bust open his mouth. His face was fine and so I was trying to find where the blood that was now all over me was coming from and realized it was coming from his hand. We all flipped out when we realized it was coming from his right ring finger that was now missing a big chunk out of the tip of it. So Dad and I grabbed him up and rushed to the hospital where we spent the next two hours getting x-rays
and all that fun stuff. Thank God though that the gap missing didn’t get down to the bone and he didn’t suffer any broken bones. He was truly a lucky little boy. Things could of been much worse. He just has to wear a bandage for a couple of weeks until hopefully the skin will just grow back and take antibiotics to keep infection away. And as soon as we pulled into the driveway our Ten year old met us at the vehicle to inform us about an altercation he had been in with a Seventeen year old. So needless to say dad had to go and visit with this Seventeen year olds parents.
So, though it has been a slow week we had a crazy Thursday and now I’m really looking forward to Friday.
