Happy Birthday My Dear Sweet Danielle!Danielle was my niece who fought a long hard battle with cancer. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor at a very early age in her life. Though she lived with some side effects from the tumor she fought hard and won that battle. She never let her disabilities slow her down or get in her way of her dreams and goals. I’m so proud of her for all of her accomplishments. Then at the sweet age of 16 when your suppose to be worrying about dating, driving, and all the fun stuff teenagers do our sweet Dani was diagnosed with Leukemia so Danielle was stuck with worrying about fighting for her life and reaching her other dreams like graduating from school, finding true love. Danielle still didn’t let the Leukemia get in her way of her dreams. She would attend school as much as she could when she wasn’t in the hospital and during
those days of school she met her dear friend who would become the love of her life, Her “Clay Boy” as she called him. Clay brought Danielle many happy memories and gave her that little extra strength she needed to fight her battle for she found her true love. Danielle did a good job at fighting her battles and she was the happiest girl I ever knew in May 2008. Danielle finished up her Two years of chemo and her Leukemia seemed to be in remission and she had reached one of the most important goals in her life. She graduated high school from Brantley County High, the school that she had grew to love and considered many of them as her family. Though her joy was short lived it was well known to everyone who knew her just how happy she was. She had reached her goals in life with a few bonuses, Dani graduated, met her true love, and her classmates honored her by voting her Prom Queen at her Senior Prom.
Just a few short weeks after meeting her goals in
life Dani had to return to the hospital for a check-up on her blood counts. Our family was crushed when we learned that Danielle’s Leukemia had not only came back but was now worser. Danielle was given the choice of just letting the Leukemia take her or to fight and of course our Dani chose to fight and that is exactly what she did. Danielle unfortunately caught a rare type of virus that attacked her little body and took her vision and was so strong that our precious Dani just couldn’t beat it and sadly Dani lost her fight on August 19, 2008. It was hard on everyone who knew her but we did find some comfort in knowing just how happy Dani was.

Happy Birthday My Precious Dani Boo! May you Rest in Peace. You will forever be loved and missed by so many.
